Ghost Town, SightSonic Digital Arts Festival, York, UK.

I recently presented new project called: Ghost Town as part of the Artists Platform at SightSonic, York's International Festival of Digital Arts, York, UK. Other participating artists included: Jon Aveyard, Martin John Callanan, Janet Curley Cannon, Shelley Clarkson, Falling Cat, Maggie Hall, Ben Johnson, Giovanni Manzini.

Ghost Town uses GPS and Google Earth Hacks to explore the paranormal activity in York, UK. The project that explores York's paranormal activity using GPS and Google Earth Hacks. In this project each haunted spot in York's city center is located, tracked and positioned using GPS technology, this data is then processed using FOSS systems and transformed into a hack for the widely used Google Earth programme. Thus allowing Google Earth to show the haunted spots along with a description across satellite imagery and road mappings.

Documentation of the project can be seen on my work page.

You Are Here, Tokyo, Japan .

I have been selected to show new work for dislocate, an exhibition organized by Trampoline, curated by Emma Lewis. The show will open on the 28th July in two spaces in Tokyo, Japan. For this exhibition I created an interactive web based piece exploring the geographical and sociological relationship between Tokyo and my home city of Birmingham, using cartographical grid referencing techniques.
